Down goes McFadden and Goodson

Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson were both hurt Sunday and both could be out for a few weeks or more. We need to take a look at  who will be starting in their place in the coming weeks which will likely be Taiwan Jones. Jones was drafted in the 4th round of the 2o11 draft by the Raiders. Last season he had a total of 16 carries which averaged out to 4.3 yards per carry. He didn’t see much action because the Raiders had Darren McFadden and Michael Bush. This year he has yet to get a single touch of the ball during the regular season. In his final season at Eastern Washington University he had  1,742 and 14 touchdowns. At the NFL combine he ran a 4.33 40 yard dash time.

At 6’0 foot and 200 pounds that has a ton of speed this guy could turn some heads. If you are desperate for a running back in fantasy football standard and deep leagues this guy could be the hottest pick of week 10. Grab him off waivers before someone else does. At this point in time he is a desperate start for fantasy football owners. However he could very well breakout and have a huge game.

Could Jamie Harper begin to get more touches?

Jamie Harper has 3 touchdowns over the last 3 weeks. He had 7 carries last week turning 2 of them for touchdowns. One thing is clear at this moment Harper is definitely the goal line running back for the Titans and this trend could continue for the rest of the season. Jamie doesn’t have a ton of value in standard format leagues but he should start getting attention in TD only leagues.

Its not likely that Harper will steal a large amount of carries from CJ2k however it appears as though the Titans will continue using Harper in goal line situations. At this moment he is a handcuff option only and could be a nice pick up for touchdown only leagues.

Ryan Broyles, Detroit Lions to make impact?

Lets be honest here for a minute, the Detroit Lions have been terrible this year. Completely coming up short on the all sides of the ball. The Lions just lost Nate Burleson to injury for the rest of the season. Many people figure that second year wide receiver Titus Young will now have a bigger role for the Lions with in the passing game. I personally think this is true but there is another guy on the that could creep up under the radar and that guy is Ryan Broyles the former Oklahoma Sooner. Broyles had 3 receptions for 51 yards and touchdown on just 4 targets. He is now definitely going to get targeted way more by Matt Stafford but how much is the real question.

At this point in time Ryan Broyles is definitely a player to take a flyer on and also would be good to consider picking up in deeper leagues. As of right now Broyles only has value in deep leagues.

Fantasy Impact: Santa Moss, Washington Redskins, Wide Receiver

Santa Moss could be a great pick up going forward for the rest of the season. He hasn’t performed all that well since Mike Shanahan took over as head coach. However that could change the rest of this season. Fred Jackson, Robert Griffin III’s favorite target in now on the Redskins IR. His targets have to go somewhere and they could be headed Santa Moss’s way.

There is a good chance Santa Moss could have a very good second half of the season. I’d recommend that Moss be put on the watch-list of all formats. He could blow up big.

Logan Paulensen, Washington Redskins Looking to make some noise!

With Fred Davis out for the rest of the season with Logan Paulensen has been injected into the starting tight-end spot. He made some noise last week with 4 catches for 76 yards receiving after Fred Davis went down to injury. There hasn’t been a ton of consistent play for the Redskins out of their wide receiver and tight-ends. If Paulensen performs this week he is definitely going to be a steal for who ever picks him up.

Right now there are some big question marks about Paulensen as a starting tight-end. We figure he should be a nice bye week fill-in option with plenty more potential. Pick him up in all formats and he is a must start in all deep leagues.
